Is LATISSE® Safe?
The long-term safety of bimatoprost, the active ingredient in LATISSE®, is well recognized by the medical community. This is based on its use in 32 clinical trials involving over 5,700 glaucoma patients and more than 13 years of clinical trial experience.
Could My Eyes Change Color with LATISSE®?
While there are no reported cases of eye color change with LATISSE® use, there is a very low risk of permanent increased brown iris pigmentation when bimatoprost is administered directly into the eye.
What Happens If I Stop Using LATISSE®?
If you discontinue using LATISSE®, your lashes will gradually return to their pre-treatment appearance over time.
Can Anyone Use LATISSE®?
LATISSE® is not suitable for individuals who are allergic to any of its ingredients, have no existing visible eyelashes, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Additionally, you should avoid using LATISSE® if you have an active eye infection, other eye diseases, or if you require eye surgery.
Can I Wear Mascara and/or Contact Lenses While Using LATISSE®?
Yes, you can wear mascara while using LATISSE®. However, contact lenses should be removed before applying the LATISSE® solution and can be reinserted 15 minutes after application.
